Since Independence Day falls on a Tuesday this year, a hometown Fourth of July celebration seems like just the ticket. Luckily, there’s plenty for local residents to do with friends and family here in the South Bay. Rose, White & Blue. Santa Clara County Supervisor Dave Cortese serves as grand marshal of the 10th annual Rose, White & Blue Parade, which will wend its way through the Rose Garden and Shasta/Hanchett neighborhoods on July 4 starting at 10 a.m. in the Lincoln High School parking lot on Dana Avenue. The last cyclists, floats, classic cars and community groups and bands should arrive around noon at Westminster Presbyterian Church, located at The Alameda and Shasta Avenue. The church will host a picnic with food and drink from local restaurants and live entertainment.
